Member of the PGA of America

Elected to membership into the PGA of America in 1982. Two Terms as the elected President of the North Florida PGA 1993-95 & 2009-2011. Since 1988, have served on numerous chapter, section,and national committees. Currently on the Board of the North Florida PGA Foundation and the Committee to Elect Russ Libby, Secretary of the PGA of America, 2016

Serving as a Board Member on behalf of the Florida Sports Hall of Fame that recognizes and honors Florida’s greatest sports figures and events, and leverages this collective celebrity to promote fitness awareness, education and sports activities among our state’s youth and adults. Equally important is the promotion of the qualities of discipline and honor among sports participants.

Serving as a Volunteer PGA Golf Professional to support the Jim and Karen McElwain Scramble for Kids Pro - Am. All proceeds go to support Alachua County kids through the Boys & Girls Club of Alachua County, Children's Home Society & Girls Place!

PGA Golf Professional Coach
PGA Junior League Golf - Ocala


The PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 13 and under to learn and enjoy the game of golf. Much like other recreational league sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with their friends.
John serves as the Coach for the Adena Club Team and is at the forefront of creating a welcoming environment for all to enjoy the game.  The PGA Junior League Golf utilizes a popular scramble format that creates a nurturing environment for learning and development - both on and off course.
